The 2008 season was super for king salmon and silvers Kept the clients and guides busy. All of our salmon fishermen at Alaska Discount Vacations fishing lodge and fish camp caught many daily limits of sockeye(red) and silver(coho) salmon as well as the mighty king salmon(largest 65 lbs). Salmon fishing guides John Iverson, Zac Lloyd, Bill Withrow, Jerry Strieby and Bob, Joann & Robby Saxton knew where to be and how to get fish all season long. Trout fishing and silver salmon was fantastic in August and September right through to closing. Many double hookups going all day long. Vacationing fisherman on our Homer halibut charter with Captain Mark Millspaugh got 2 derby winners in August and those fishing with Captain Barry Wright on the Barn Door fishing from Ninilchik had limit catches every day.
